Vice President, Site and Patient Access
August 1, 2016
This year’s Ideathon event is shaping up to be one of the most innovative initiatives designed to increase the awareness of clinical trial participation among patients, healthcare professionals and the general public. I am so excited about the multitude of clinical research experts and individuals that have signed on in support of our “Inspiring Hope” initiative, including our keynote speaker, cancer “thriver” and clinical research advocate, Jameisha Brown. Ms. Brown will open our event with her keynote address, “Living Proof of the Power of Clinical Research,” and will share her own personal story of battling cancer. Her journey is an inspiration to many and we look forward to hearing her first-hand experience as a patient participating in clinical research.
I am equally thrilled to have a very talented and experienced group of mentors, all of whom will offer their guidance and support to Ideathon participants:
This event wouldn’t be complete without industry-leading professionals evaluating the feasibility and creativity of these rich and innovative solutions. The judging panel includes:
All of these individuals and companies play a critical role in providing the necessary support to make the Ideathon a success and we are so excited to have them on board!
Join the Innovative Ideathon by Submitting Ideas, Spreading the Word
Although we have received vast support from industry professionals, we still want more involvement to make the impact needed for change. As we approach the August 8th submission deadline, I would encourage you to submit any and all pioneering #ideas4patients at inspiring-hope-ideathon.com. We will invite the selected finalists to participate and present their groundbreaking ideas at this fall’s event by mid-August. The winning team or individual will be awarded $10,000 and will receive support from INC Research and CISCRP to help turn the idea into a viable solution after the live event in September. I am confident that, together, we can Inspire Hope and improve the lives of patients through clinical research.
